Tottenham striker Jermain Defoe has reluctantly admitted that he will have to leave the club in the summer as he is not playing enough football.

The 29-year-old, who hopes to travel to Euro 2012 with England, has had to play second fiddle to Emmanuel Adebayor for most of the season as Harry Redknapp has opted to play with just one striker.

Despite scoring 10 league goals and 16 in all competitions this campaign, Defoe has only started 11 league games and told the Daily Mirror he will have to leave White Hart Lane in the summer.

Defoe comments will interest a host of Premier League clubs including QPR, who were heavily linked with the former Portsmouth and West Ham man in January.

Despite his lack of first-team action this season, Defoe thinks that if he gets picked by new England boss Roy Hodgson for Euro 2012 he will be sharper than most.
