Liverpool striker Luis Suarez has thanked sacked manager Kenny Dalglish for his help in England - but hinted he could quit Anfield for a career in Spain.

Dalglish was sacked by Liverpool on Wednesday and the Uruguayan striker was quick to show his appreciation for the work he did for him.

The sacked mnager defended Suarez over the racism claims made by Manchester United defender Patrice Evra earlier this season and despite being found guilty the Scot stood by his striker and supported him through his ban.

Suarez took to Twitter to say: 'Kenny thank you very much for all your help and things I learned from you during 1 year and a half! A big hug and good luck!!'

The Uruguay striker is a key figure for Liverpool, with his efforts in attack for the Reds making him one of the most feared strikers in the Premier League. He appears settled on Merseyside, however his future has been cast into doubt.
Dalglish's departure could also lead to Suarez's exit as he has expressed a desire to test himself in Spain’s La Liga.

Suarez has given no indication that the departure of Dalglish will see him consider his position, but he does see himself leaving the Reds for a tilt at La Liga at some stage
