Former Gunners captain, Cesc Fabregas has backed former boss Arsene Wenger to keep Arsenal among the European elite.
The Gunners have failed to lift a trophy for seven years, prompting the likes of Fabregas, Gael Clichy, David Silva, Robin van Persie and Alex Song to join their rivals.
But Arsenal moved up to third place in the Premier League after Saturday's 6-1 demolition of Southampton.
And as Arsenal begin their Champions League campaign against Montpellier on Tuesday, Barcelona midfielder Fabregas expects Arsenal to be one of their rivals for the European crown.
'Arsene Wenger is amazing and I'm sure he will prove it again this season,' he told The Sun.
'He always finds the best young talent in Europe and has the courage to bring them in and give them their chance.
'That is his special talent, the way he works with a player to build their confidence and encourage them to play, to perform at their best.
