PIGUE CONFIDENT THAT FABREGAS WILL STAY IN BARCELONA

Arsenal ex captain, Cesc Fabregas will not be leaving Barcelona on loan in January despite a difficult start to the campaign with the Catalan giants according to team mate,Gerard Pique

Fabregas has been substituted in all of Barcelona’s league games so far this season and has been linked with a move away.

But defender Gerard Pique is confident that his team-mate will still enjoy ‘a spectacular season’ in Spain.

'We’ve had three La Liga fixtures and the rumours have already started about whether he will go out on loan in January,’ said Pique.

‘The world of football is too impatient and tries to knock you down for the slightest thing. He seems relaxed and happy to me and I’m sure he’s going to have a spectacular season.’

Pique added: ‘To play for Barca and play for the national team means that you have to always win and give a ‘10’ and, if that doesn’t happen, they want to place blame, pile on more pressure and that’s not good.

‘Cesc is the one in the firing line now and, in a month’s time, someone else will be.
