Captain of the Super Eagles of Nigeria Joseph Yobo is set to mis Saturday’s crucial 2013 Africa Cup of Nation qualifier clash against Liberia due to a knee injury.
According to the media officer of the team spokesman Ben Alaiya, Yobo injured his knee during a game involving his Turkish club Fenerbahce.

Alaiya, while answering questions on a popular sport show on radio, confessed that Yobo has 20% chance of playing for the Super Eagles onSaturday.

In June, he missed all three of Nigeria’s Nations Cup and World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda, Malawi and Namibia also on account of injury.

Meanwhile, officials have said they are yet to be informed by Liberia as regards their arrival in Nigeria for the weekend clash in Calabar.

Nigeria Football Federation acting general secretary Musa Amadu said on Tuesday evening: “I really don’t know what they (Liberia) are up to. They have not communicated their arrival date to us.

The Super Eagles are already in Calabar putting finishing touches to preparations for Saturday’s cracker, which is delicately poised after both teams ended the first leg 2-2 in Monrovia in September.
