Manchester united coach sir Alex Ferguson has been named Barclays Premier League Manager of the month for October on the day he celebrates 26 years in charge at Old trafford
Ferguson led his side to victories over Newcastle, stoke and Chelsea last month which has seen Manchester united go on top of the league.
Ferguson will have a statue of himself unveiled at Old Trafford later this month
Chelsea playmaker Juan Mata, who’s been in fine form in October and consequently scoring three goals, picked up the player of the month award.
Mata has also been influential in setting up goals for his side, with the European Champions currently second in the premier league, a point behind united.
