Côte d’Ivoire national coach Sabri Lamouchi confirmed his group of 23 players, currently in Abu Dhabi, who will be participating in the Africa Cup of Nations 2013 to the Confederation of African Football on Wednesday.
The French-Tunisian technician had in fact decided not to begin preparation for the continental tournament with a large group and had only called-up the necessary number of players for their warm-up camp in Abu Dhabi.
The short-listed Elephants who have been gathered in the Emirates since 6 January have not been plagued by any physical snags, with the exception of a mild alert concerning captain Didier Drogba, who experienced a very mild injury to his foot at the start of the camp, and the 24-hour hospitalisation of Yaya Touré due to flu.
Sabri Lamouchi therefore made no changes and submitted his list of twenty-three.
