MANCHESTER CITY YOUTH PLAYER JAILED FOR RECKLESS DRIVING THAT KILLED A BROTHER AND SISTER

Manchester City youth player, Courtney Meppen-Walter was today jailed for sixteen years old months at a Manchester Crown Court for causing the death of a brother and sister by careless driving.

Meppen-Walter admitted the crime earlier this month after he was arrested when his Mercedes was involved in a crash with a Nissan Micra in Manchester in September killing, the Nissan driver, Kulwant Singh from Salford, and his sister, front seat passenger Ravel Kaur from Cheetham Hill


Ms Kaur's two sons who are Sixteen years and Seventeen years old respectively, were sitting in the back of the car and were injured in the crash on the evening of September 1 on Great Ducie Street.

Eighteen years old Meppen-Walter was behind the wheel of his Mercedes and was speeding at around 56mph in a 30mph zone.

He has been on the books at City since 2010 and failed to make a senior appearance for the club, but was on the bench for Roberto Mancini's side as they drew 2-2 in a Champions League match against Ajax in November.
