AFCON 2013 STAR, EFE AMBROSE OUT OF SUPER EAGLES'S CLASH AGAINST KENYA
Super Eagles of Nigeria defender, Efe Ambrose will miss the team's match World Cup qualifier against Kenya next weekend because of accumulated bookings.
Coach Stephen Keshi had called up the Celtic defender, who played as a make-shift right back during last month’s Africa Cup of Nations in South Africa.
However, an official statement from the Nigeria football Federation (NFF) on Thursday said Ambrose will miss the match in Calabar after he got a yellow card against Namibia in a World Cup tie in June last year and was also yellow carded away to Malawi in Blantyre in the same competition.
Chibuzor Okonkwo is thus expected to stake a stronger claim for the problematic right back position in the absence of the suspended Ambrose.
