MY TOP 4 FOOTBALL PREDICTIONS by Chijoike Ceejay Ezeali

Welcome dynamic football fans to another beautiful week of great soccer action across the major leagues in the world. I will bring to you my predictions from four important games in each of our selected leagues every weekend. Because this is the pilot edition of this piece, i will focus on the English Premier league and the Nigeria Professional Football league. So, let’s hit the ground running:
Everton VS Manchester City (1:45pm)
Second place Manchester City travel to 5th place Everton in their bid to pull further away from third place Tottenham Hotspur and close the gap on first place Manchester United who play manager-less Reading. Goodison Park has proved to be a tough ground for Manchester City in recent years; missing Captain

Vincent Kompany and star striker Sergio “Kun” Aguero will be a huge loss but with Tevez new found enthusiasm and David Silva back to his creative best they should prove a handful for the Everton defense whom fell like a pack of cards against Wigan last week in the FA Cup. But with Kompany out and Lescott not at his usual best Everton’s direct style can hurt City especially if Felliani is at his monstrous best supported by the industry of Pienner, Mirallas, Osman, and Baines. Prediction: Everton 2-1 ManCity

Swansea VS Arsenal (4:00pm)
Arsenal lost out of the Champions League after a gallant showing at the Allianz Arena against Bayern Munich but will travel to 9th placed Swansea full of confidence and believe that they can take all 3points against the newly crowned capital one cup holders.

Jack Wilshere is out of this one while Fabianski is expected to keep his place after a strong showing in Germany. Michael Laudrup’s team is regarded as the most intelligent team in the premier league with amazing passing ability thanks to a fluid Barcelona like pattern and with the knowledge that they won at the Emirates in the first round should give them confidence to do a double over Arsene Wenger’s men. Prediction: Swansea 1-1 Arsenal
Aston Villa VS QPR (4:00pm)
An interesting relegation battle between the two sides, QPR is rooted at the bottom of the BPL table 4points behind Villa who sits in 17th with 27points but both sides will go into this one at the back of impressive wins against Reading and Sunderland respectively.

Harry Redknapp and his boys believe they can pull off a dramatic escape after being in the relegation zone for so long while for Villa the return of players like Charles Ngzobia and Gabriel Agboolahun from long time injuries to support Christian Benteke is a welcome development for under pressure Paul Lambert as evident in their last game against reading. Prediction: Aston Villa 2-2 QPR

Chelsea VS Westham (5:00pm)
Embattled Chelsea coach Rafa Benitez will hope for a good home win to help get fans off his back and a win in a London derby such as this can go a long way. Westham are already above the 40points safety mark and sits 8th on the log but big Sam’s sides can be very touch especially as they’ve had more rest than Chelsea that played in the Europa cup on Thursday.

So we may see the Chelsea 4-2-3-1 formation against the 4-5-1 formation of Westham making it as hard as possible for Chelsea to break them down. Westham play always with wide men J.Cole and Jarvis supplying crosses for Andy Carrol or Carlton Okorie Cole up front so John Terry and David Luiz have their work cut out. Second place is still a possibility for Chelsea as they sit 7points behind Mancity in second and 2points adrift spurs in 3rd with 52points. Prediction: Chelsea 1-0 Westham

Enyimba VS Nasarawa
Enyimba lost their first game of the season to Rangers International of Enugu by a lone goal but will be motivated in front of their home crowd to nick this one and hope last season’s top goals scorer Sibi Giwa comes good for them against Nasarawa whose main focus will be league survival. Prediction: Enyimba 2-0 Nasarawa

Kwara VS Sunshine
Sunshine skipper Godfrey Ogboabona is with the Champions of Africa presently as they prepare for a world cup qualifying game against Kenya this month. Sunshine started the league season with a victory over kaduna united while Kwara was held to a goalless draw in the Illorin derby against ABS and will look to get their first win of the season. Prediction: kwara 1-1 Sunshine

Dolphin VS 3SC
3sc are the early leaders by virtue of their two nil win over Gombe United in Ibadan while Dolphin go in search for their first league win after losing 1-0 to Akwa United. 3SC will look to the returning Salami for inspiration as they go in search for an early consolidation on their league position. Prediction: Dolphin 2-1 3SC

Gombe VS ABS
Gombe will come into this fixtures feeling wounded after they suffered an opening day defeat to 3SC in Ibadan. ABS drew goalless with kwara and will be hoping to get at least a point from this fixture knowing how difficult it can be to get a win in Gombe. Prediction: Gombe 1-0 ABS

So these are my top four football prediction. By His grace, i will give you my top four football prediction next week from the top leagues in Europe and from the Nigeria Professional football league. Till then stay blessed. Gracias
