WILSHERE RETURNS TO TWITTER NINE MONTH AFTER QUITTING FOR COCAINE CLAIMS
Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has opened a new Twitter account nine months after quitting the social media site
The twenty one year-old quit England midfielder the social network site in June last year after being forced to call in the police following a spate of unsavoury claims about his long-term injury absence.
'Trolls' alleged Wilshere, who missed 19 months with knee and ankle problems, which implies that he had been out of action for a year having tested positive for cocaine.
The damaging claims forced both the player and his partner, Lauren Neal, to close their accounts.
But today, Wilshere was back, writing: 'Great to be back on Twitter...'
Within 30 minutes, he had amassed more than 20,000 followers.
Wilshere is currently out with an injury to his other ankle, though is expected to return in time for Arsenal's next Premier League match against Reading.
