No 11: Gareth Baale is presented with his shirt by Real Madrid president Florentino Perez at the Bernabeu

New Real Madrid Gareth Bale charmed his new fans at the Santiago Bernebue with a few words of Spanish and recognition of their status as the most decorated club in European history as he was officially unveiled by the La Liga giant after an £86million world record transfer move from Tottenham

Bale looked relaxed and refreshed to be at the end of his transfer saga after completing his medical and attending his long-awaited unveiling ceremony at the Bernabeu Stadium.
His family, including his 11-month old daughter Alba Violet, were present at the ceremony and there was even a large grainy photograph on prominent display of the Welsh as a young boy, wearing a Real Madrid shirt from the 90s, like the one worn by Luis Figo.

Fans cheered and chanted his name - although they mostly pronounced it Gareth Bailey  and he changed his black suit for the white strip for Real as he kicked 40 footballs into the crowds.

Bale kissed the badge to great applause and lashed a couple of shots into the net at the south end of the Bernabeu.

The blue away kit for next season is the best looking one. Hopefully we won’t be seeing the orange kit worn much next season.
