NIGERIA TO PLAY ETHIOPIA , GHANA TO SLUG IT OUT WITH EGYPT FOR WORLD CUP TICKET
The ten African teams who qualified for the last round of the Africa qualifiers for the Brazil 2014 FIFA world cup have being drawn against each other
Africa Champions, Nigeria will slug it out against the Waya Antelopes of Ethiopia. The two sides have met three times in the last three years, the last being in the group stage of the South Africa 2013 Africa cup of nations early in the year with the super eagles winning the Ethiopians 2-0
Ivory Coast will host Senegal. It will be recalled that the two sides met in the qualifiers for the 2013 AFCON and the Teranga lions of Senegal were disqualified for crowd trouble
Tunisia who made a final minute entry into the stage have been handed a first leg home match against Cameroon
In what pundits have termed the biggest match of the qualifiers, the Black stars of Ghana will slug it out with the Pharaohs of Egypt and it promises to be a mind blowing game.
AFCON runners up, the Stallions of Bukina Faso will match up against the Desert warriors of Algeria
The first leg will be played on a yet to be decided date between Friday October 11th to Tuesday 15th October 2013 while the return leg will be played in November between Friday 15th to Tuesday 19th 2013.
These matches will be played using the knock out format with the ties proceeding to the extra time and if need be penalties.
