Ahmad Ahmad beats Issa Hayatou to be CAF president, Pinnick gets into executive board

Madagascar Football Association head Ahmad Ahmad has beaten incumbent President Issa Hayatou to emerge as the Confederation of Africa Football (CAF) president.

In an election holding presently in Addis Abbaba, Ethiopia, the Madagascan law maker defeated Hayatou who has been the head of CAF since 1988, 34 votes to 20 votes.

Meanwhile, President of Nigeria Football Federation Amanju Pininick was elected into CAF executive committee defeating Anjorin Moucharafou 32 to 17 votes. 

Pinnick will be on the executive committee board of CAF till 2021
