Premeir league champions Chelsea have agreed a deal to sign Real Madrid striker Alvaro Morata, the club have announced this evening.
Reports suggest the Premier League champions will pay £70 million for the Spainish forward, who is yet to agree personal terms or undergo a medical.
Morata will arrive at Stamford Bridge and will be saddled with the responsibility of replacing Diego Costa, who is set to join Atletico Madrid after being told he is surplus to requirements by Antonio Conte.
Morata will become the Blues's fourth signing of the summer, with Willy Caballero joining on a free from City, Antonio Rudiger from As-Roma and Tiemoue Bakayoko from As-Monaco already secured.
Alvaro Morata scored 20 goals in all competitions for Real Madrid last season, but struggled to hold down a regular starting place with Karim Benzema and Cristiano Ronaldo acting as the main front liners in attack.
A good deal for the young Man and but faced with a big task of proving himself not just in a new club but a new league.
Welcome to the EPL Alvaro!.
