Manchester united didn't sign Isco in 2013 because of the size of has head, according to reports
The Spain and Real Madrid attacking midfielder put United to the sword with a man of the match display on Tuesday night Super Cup clash.
Isco was on target after an amazing "one-two" pass between him and Gareth Bale as Zinedine Zidane’s side won 2-1 on the night in Macedonia.
However the story could have all been very different.
According to ESPN, Isco was scouted by Manchester United towards the end of Sir Alex Ferguson’s spell in charge at Old Trafford.
It was further revealed that they decided not to follow up their interest with a bid after the midfielder was described as having a head 'too big for his body'.
The scouting report is as follows: “He's good, but not quite quick enough and his head is too big for his body.”
Real Madrid later signed Isco from Malaga in 2013 for £23m and the rest they say is history.
