The president of the Nigeria Football Federation and CAF executive member, Amaju Pinnick is confident that British-born Nigerian, Tammy Abraham who is a current England Under-21player can be convinced to switch allegiance to play for Nigeria.
The chelsea academy product who is currently on loan at Swansea City has represented England at U18, U19 and U21 cadre, but due to his father being Nigerian, he is eligible to play for the super eagles.
According to reports, Pinnick who is a friend to Abraham's father, is confident the young lad, who netted his first Premier League goal in Swansea win at Crystal Palace before the international break and then scored again for the Young Lions against Latvia, will play for Nigeria.
He said, "We are working on getting Abraham," said Pinnick. "Tammy is like my son. His father and I grew up in the same neighbourhood.
"So when they talk about him, I just laugh because I know what to do."
